Now in their sixth year, TeachCo Awards are intended to signpost teachers and school leaders like you to the very best products, publications and services, while at the same time celebrating the vibrancy of an education products sector that seems to become more dynamic and innovative with every passing year. Some of the entries honoured over the following pages you’ll recognise, some you may not. What they all have in common is that they met and often exceeded the quality standards of our judging panel – an assembly of experienced teachers, subject specialists and noted education authorities who know what educators need from their resources, and who can tell when a service or product is genuinely delivering on its creator’s promises. You can expect to see quite the mix of product types and media, even within the same category. That’s because our judges were specifically tasked with assessing the degree to which each shortlisted entry succeeded in its stated aims. Be assured, therefore, that every chosen winner across the following pages will work as advertised, provide the knowledge you need and/or save you and your colleagues precious time. Of course, whether a given resource will prove ultimately effective or not within your school is largely down to you and your colleagues. Every setting is different, after all – but we hope that this year’s winners at least serve to show you the scope of what’s currently out there, and what possibilities there might be for making your delivery even better, and your working days even more rewarding. – TeachCo Editorial Team Welcome, educators... How it worked Companies and individuals were invited to enter one or more of their products and/or services for consideration in the 2024 Teach Secondary Awards between May and July 2024. These entries were then whittled down into a series of category shortlists, which were each assigned an individual judge and grouped under ‘Early Years’, ‘Primary’ or ‘Secondary’. Our judges proceeded to carefully examine the merits of all shortlisted entries between August and October 2024, using print copies, online logins and/or review samples as applicable. The judging criteria varied to some degree depending on the category, but our judges were all tasked with assessing each entry’s likely impact on outcomes, ease of use and value for money, among other considerations. The judges were finally tasked with awarding one overall winner of their category, followed by two further entries they felt to be deserving of ‘highly commended’ status.
